Texas SEO and Bilingual Search Marketing
Texas The Lone Star State
Texas keeps adding people, speaks two languages at home and spans five very different metro markets, so one statewide marketing playbook rarely works.

Marketing in Texas
Texas SEO Company for Local and Statewide Businesses
Texas reached 31.7 million residents in 2025, up 8.8% since 2020, and the Census Bureau credits that growth to both directions at once: 1,017,836 net international migrants and 812,735 net domestic migrants. Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, Fort Worth and Austin each top one million people, and fast-growing suburbs like Frisco, McKinney and Plano keep pushing new rooftops onto the map. Every new household is a fresh search for a dentist, roofer, attorney or car dealer.
It is also a bilingual market. 28.2% of Texans age 5 and older speak Spanish at home and 40.3% of residents are Hispanic, so Spanish-language ads, landing pages and Google Business Profile content reach a large audience that many competitors serve poorly. The SBA counts 3.5 million small businesses employing 44.4% of Texas workers, with construction, health care, restaurants and professional services among the largest employers.
Weather and law both shape demand. Summer heat keeps air conditioning and pool searches high, while Gulf hurricanes, hail and winter freezes drive roofing, restoration and plumbing spikes. On the legal side, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act has applied since July 2024, and Senate Bill 140 brought marketing texts under the state's telephone solicitation rules in September 2025, opening the door to private lawsuits.
Peak season
Mar to Jun (hail and spring storm season), Jun to Sep (heat and hurricane season)
Roofing and restoration ad costs jump after major hail and hurricane events, often for weeks. Tourism peaks with spring break on the Gulf Coast, Hill Country wildflowers and fall football, while Rio Grande Valley businesses see a winter bump from seasonal residents.

Things to know
What changes when you market in Texas
Five patterns we plan campaigns around, each backed by a published figure.
28.2%
Residents 5+ speaking Spanish at home (Census ACS, 2024) [2]
Spanish-language search is a core channel
More than a quarter of Texans speak Spanish at home. Separate Spanish campaigns, translated landing pages and bilingual reviews outperform auto-translated ads, especially in San Antonio, El Paso, Laredo and the Rio Grande Valley.
1,017,836
Net international migration to Texas, 2020 to 2025 (Census Vintage 2025) [2]
Growth comes from every direction
Texas gained more than a million residents from abroad and hundreds of thousands from other states in five years. New residents search for every kind of provider, so campaigns aimed at new movers and new subdivisions pay off.
523,448
Small-business employees in construction (SBA 2025 profile, 2022 data) [1]
Contractor search is crowded
Construction employs more small-business workers in Texas than any industry except health care and hospitality. Home service companies win with Local Services Ads, project photos, review volume and fast lead response.
$97.5B
Direct travel spending in Texas (2024) [3]
Travel spending reaches every region
Direct travel spending rose 3.5% in 2024. Hotels, restaurants, wineries and attractions from Galveston to Fredericksburg to Big Bend need strong Google Maps visibility and travel-intent search campaigns.
$7,500
Maximum civil penalty per TDPSA violation (effective July 1, 2024) [4]
Small businesses still have privacy duties
The TDPSA exempts most small businesses as defined by the SBA, but a small business that sells sensitive data still needs consent first. Larger companies face Attorney General enforcement after a 30-day cure period.

Services
How we tune each service for Texas
Same team and tools everywhere. What changes is the calendar, the rules, and the searches people in Texas actually type.
SEO
Frisco, McKinney and Plano keep adding new rooftops, so DFW content targets individual suburbs and zip codes rather than chasing one metroplex keyword against every Dallas competitor.
Google Business Profile
In McAllen, Laredo and El Paso, where Spanish is common at home, we publish bilingual profile posts and service descriptions alongside English to reach families competitors serve poorly.
Google Ads & PPC
Hail and Gulf hurricanes push Texas roofing click costs up for weeks, so Houston and DFW accounts keep storm response campaigns prepared and Local Services Ads verified before each season.
Website design
Senate Bill 140 brought marketing texts under Texas solicitation rules with private lawsuit risk, so forms we build capture clear SMS consent before any follow-up goes out.
Social media
With 28.2% of Texans speaking Spanish at home, we run separate Spanish creative on Facebook and Instagram, plus WhatsApp contact options for border markets like Brownsville.
Reputation management
Across 254 counties, one HVAC company or dealer outside the Texas Triangle often serves several rural counties, so steady reviews naming those towns strengthen the profile everywhere it competes.
Regions
Texas is several markets, not one
Dallas-Fort Worth
Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Plano, Irving, Garland, Frisco, McKinney, Grand Prairie
A corporate headquarters and suburban growth market with some of the highest click costs in the state for legal, home services and auto.
How we adjust: Target individual suburbs and zip codes rather than the whole metroplex, and build city-specific pages.
Houston and the Gulf Coast
Houston, Galveston, Corpus Christi, Beaumont
Energy, medical and port economies with frequent storm and flood exposure and a very diverse population.
How we adjust: Prepare storm-response campaigns in advance and run multilingual ads across Houston's neighborhoods.
Central Texas and the Hill Country
Austin, San Antonio, New Braunfels, Fredericksburg
Tech and government in Austin, military and tourism in San Antonio, and wineries and rentals in the Hill Country.
How we adjust: Mix bilingual local service campaigns in San Antonio with tourism and lifestyle marketing in the Hill Country.
South Texas and the Border
El Paso, Laredo, McAllen, Brownsville
Heavily Hispanic markets tied to cross-border trade, with lower click costs and strong family business networks.
How we adjust: Lead with Spanish-language creative, WhatsApp and Facebook, and community-focused reviews.
West Texas and the Panhandle
Lubbock, Amarillo, Midland, Odessa, Abilene
Agriculture, oil and gas, and university markets spread over long distances, with demand tied to energy prices.
How we adjust: Cover wide service areas, and adjust budgets when oilfield activity rises or falls.
Big metros vs. small towns
The five largest Texas cities hold about 7.3 million of 31.7 million residents, and their suburbs carry much of the state's paid-search competition. Texas has 254 counties, and outside the Texas Triangle many are small-town or ranching markets where one dealer, law firm or HVAC company may serve several counties and the cost per click is a fraction of Dallas or Houston.

Rules and regulations
Texas laws that shape your ads, texts, and website
Current as of October 2026. This is general information, not legal advice; confirm specifics with your attorney.
Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA)
Tex. Bus. & Com. Code ch. 541 · July 1, 2024
Gives Texans rights to access, correct and delete personal data and to opt out of targeted advertising, data sales and certain profiling. Small businesses as defined by the SBA are generally exempt, but must get consent before selling sensitive data. The Attorney General enforces it after a 30-day cure notice, with penalties up to $7,500 per violation.
What it means for your marketing: Texas businesses using retargeting, lead sales or data enrichment need a compliant privacy notice and opt-out process, and even small firms must not sell sensitive data without consent.
Senate Bill 140 (telephone solicitation and text messages)
Tex. Bus. & Com. Code ch. 302, 304 and 305, as amended by SB 140 (89th Leg.) · September 1, 2025
Expands the definition of telephone solicitation to include text messages, graphic messages and images, and makes violations of Chapters 304 and 305 deceptive trade practices enforceable through public or private remedies under the DTPA.
What it means for your marketing: Marketing texts to Texas consumers now carry state telemarketing obligations and private lawsuit risk, so consent capture and registration status should be reviewed before launching SMS campaigns.
Texas lawyer advertising filing rules
Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct, Part VII (Rule 7.04) · Current rules revised in 2021
Non-exempt lawyer advertisements and solicitation communications must be filed with the State Bar of Texas Advertising Review Department, with a $100 filing fee. Optional preapproval can be requested at least 30 days before first use, and unfiled non-exempt ads can draw a $250 fine plus review fee.
What it means for your marketing: Law firm ad campaigns in Texas need time in the schedule for State Bar filing and review.

No state license is required to run digital marketing in Texas.
